PTT Global Chemical worked with Wat Chak Daeng to introduce the recycling project which is making monks’ robes from plastic bottles

PTT Global Chemical worked with Wat Chak Daeng to introduce the recycling project which is making monks’ robes from plastic bottles. The temple has separate bins for about 13 years. However, the bottles were just collected for sale because the temple didn’t have the expertise to transform them into textiles.

Not until PTTGC visited the temple last year and provided technological knowhow of transforming PET bottles into eco-fabrics to the temple. This project is not only to promote circular economy but also to create a job for people in community, especially disabled people.
