A SUPPORT and OTOP Fair

The Ministry of Interior will be hosting a SUPPORT and OTOP fair from August 10 to 18 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother’s birthday on August 12. The theme of the fair, “Less is more”, will see Thai crafts being presented with a modern touch; keeping to simplicity, but ultimately teeming with elegance and uniqueness. Other than being an excellent place to find unique Thai handicrafts, the SUPPORT and OTOP fair will also be a celebration of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother’s undying contributions toward preserving and promoting Thai traditional craftsmanship. 

 


Activities at the fair will be divided into 10 zones, including: 
Zone 1: an exhibition on H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, in celebration of the Royal Coronation Ceremony 2019 
Zone 2: an exhibition on the different disciplines of Thai Royal Craftsmen 
Zone 3: for showcasing the products of The Foundation of the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand or SUPPORT 
Zone 4: for promoting local destinations under the SUPPORT and Nawatwithi OTOP Community Tourism projects 
Zone 5: for showcasing the contemporary “mix and match” trend in Thai textile fashion 
Zone 6: an exhibition on rare Thai fabrics 
Zone 7: for showcasing textile fabrics from different ASEAN countries 
Zone 8: for shoppers to find unique gifts for their moms, in celebration of the Thai Mother’s Day (August 12) 
Zone 9: for showcasing more than 1,800 booths of OTOP products 
Zone 10: for showcasing local Thai food
