The Thai-Cambodian permanent border check point in Sisaket province held activities to connect the two countries on 2 January 2019 to celebrate the New Year Festival 2019 and bring prosperity to themselves and their families. Alms were given to a total of 59 Thai monks by both the Thai and Cambodian people, in which the ceremony was led provincial governmental chiefs. The atmosphere was full of warmth and joy, as Thai and Cambodian have similar traditions and cultures, as well as share the same religion, Buddhism.
