Tham Luang - Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park became Thailand’s most visited National/Forest Park during the New Year Hollidays

Tham Luang - Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park became Thailand’s most visited National/Forest Park during the New Year Hollidays, with around 25,895 visitors as of 2 January 2019. The park became famous for being the site of the Wild Boar Soccer Team cave rescue in 2018. The main entrance to the Tham Luang Cave where the soccer team was trapped in is still closed off from the public, but visitors still flocked to see other attractions on the site, such as the mural which commemorates the heroes of the rescue mission and the statue of Lt. Saman Kunan, an ex-Thai Navy Seal diver who died during the rescue mission.
