Thailand' s AI first draft

A draft for the country’s first artificial intelligent (AI) ethics guidelines has been issued by The Digital Economy and Society Ministry to promote the country's competitiveness and sustainable development under the 20-year national strategy plan. Complying with national laws and international standards, AI technology must be developed with a sense of responsibility to ensure security and data protection as well as accountability, equality and fairness. The Ministry of Digital Economy plans to further develop the guidelines by  collecting and incorporating inputs from public forums and focus groups from target industries, such as, automation, robotics, medical tourism, advanced agriculture, healthcare and other relevant areas. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society drafted the guidelines together with Microsoft Thailand and Mahidol University. Thailand is the first country in Asia-Pacific where Microsoft contributed to the drafting of the guidelines as an adviser.
