More Thais prepare for digital transformation

The Minister of Digital Economy and Society revealed that Thailand has a population of 66.4 million and 187% of them use mobile phones, reflecting that more people are able to access the mobile network and are prepared for social digitalisation. The Ministry is promoting the public policy of transforming Thailand into the Digital Hub of ASEAN through the “Digital Valley” project, to be located on a 700-rai plot of land in Chonburi province. The project, which is currently under construction, will be accessible through the new high-speed rail connection and is expected to attract high end global technology companies into the city.
