King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMILT) has opened the KMITL GO FIGHT COVID-19 centre, a knowledge and innovation centre for COVID-19 prevention and treatment.  The centre is operated by a research and innovation development team, who will provide advice and services to hospitals and other agencies on new medical treatment systems, innovations and equipment. Among one of the centre’s prominent innovations that is already in use, is a negative pressure room used for screening contagions in a safe, negative pressure environment, which allows the air inside the room to remain uncontaminated. Another innovation is “GO RES,” a portable respirator used to treat  patients with pulmonary infection. The respirator has the same properties as a hospital-grade respirator, and can be used at home. Also, there is a sanitizing tunnel equipped with thermoscan and disinfectant spray functions. The screening process in the tunnel, is designed to be operated by artificial intelligence, reducing the risk of human transmission.
