The Central Islamic Committee of Thailand is an organization that manages the Islamic faith
in Thailand. Its power is vested in the Islam Authority Act of 1997 which states that the
committee members would be called the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand. The committee
comprises of the Sheikul Islam as Chair, and each province would elect their own committees.
These would be representatives from each committee. One for each province. Selection is done
by the Sheikul Islam himself. Each tenor would be 6 years.
